XColdPro
@xcoldpro
What is in XColdPro, with no marketing around it
XColdPro is software-first cold storage that installs on a Windows, macOS or Linux machine you already own, so nothing ships. It includes six sub-protocols, Sentinel Guard in every edition, 22+ chains and full ERC-20 and SPL support. Seeds are standard BIP39 and BIP44, so there is no lock-in.
Our standard: nothing ships if users must take our word for it
Our standard is that nothing in the Universe ships if it needs the user to take our word for something they cannot check themselves. That is why XColdPro seeds are standard BIP39 and BIP44, why recovery works without our software, and why XECHO pays artists from what people actually played. It makes some things slower to build and a couple less profitable.
XColdPro generates seeds from the operating system's cryptographically secure random source, with no proprietary RNG and no hidden fallback. If the OS cannot provide secure entropy, generation fails instead of quietly downgrading. Signing is deterministic under RFC 6979, wallets are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and seeds are standard BIP39 and BIP44.
XECHO build update: authors paid from a consumption pool
We removed the books purchase rail we had built the week before, because we changed the model underneath it. Authors are now paid from a consumption pool based on real reading and listening time, with offline download as a tier entitlement. We also cut sixteen high advisories to three in a dependency sweep. XECHO is an invite-only beta.
XECHO build update: the books payment rail and a security pass
This week's XECHO build update covered the books rail, built end to end for ebooks and audiobooks and tracked in the same registry as tracks. Reading and listening stay open and only downloads are bought. We also completed a security pass on creator profiles and public views. XECHO is a beta, invite only, with more codes going out.
Testers keep asking what happens to a catalogue if the platform goes away. Our honest answer is that it should not depend on us still being here, which was a design constraint we took on early rather than a feature added later.
XECHO now decides stream attribution on the server
In our latest XECHO build, stream attribution is server-authoritative on verified plays. In plain terms, the server decides who a stream counts for, rather than something that can be nudged or spoofed along the way. It was shipped on the listener side and matters most to artists.
A recovery phrase is an encoding of a random number, so its strength is inherited entirely from the quality of the randomness that produced it. That is why generation happens on the air-gapped side in BootVault, with key derivation at PBKDF2 500,000 iterations. Offline generation removes an entire class of attack where the generating environment is what leaks.
Four years ago today XDRIP began. What started as an idea is now a working Universe: XColdPro live and buyable, XECHO in development, and DOTs building toward real-world asset tokenization. It is all built on one principle: solve real problems and ship real tools.
XColdPro is software-first cold storage that protects your keys with mathematics rather than a device you can lose or have taken. It is air-gapped by design. The RC was live and available at the time of the post, with founding-member pricing at 50 percent.
We shared a new teaser in which something has awakened beneath Astradune. After the blast the sands did not settle, and at the foot of the pyramid three silent wanderers stand untouched. Dripia is there.
Twelve thousand years after the Great War of the Era of Celestial Discord, the Chaos Era burns through the cosmos and the stars are going dark one by one. We shared a trailer in which only one man carries what is needed to stop it.
